I helped NYU Langone Health with the media strategy for its campus transformation in Manhattan. Although the organization had produced plenty of collateral over several years, it needed help identifying key, newsworthy messages and facts for the media, communicated in the right tone.
I reviewed all of the existing collateral and developed fact sheets about the campus transformation, drafted a press release, and helped develop messaging for members of leadership on their tours with media.
This involved weaving together several sub-stories within the larger narrative, including the technological innovations of the new hospital, a design that maximized outdoor spaces and natural light and included only private patient rooms, a resiliency and sustainability plan that prepared the campus to deal with severe weather events, and several art installations and murals from internationally renowned artists.
This story received positive media coverage in outlets like CBS radio, Metro, NY1, Fierce Healthcare, Health Data Management, and Healthcare Dive, and included some fun stories about the giant statue of a Dalmatian balancing a taxi cab in front of the new children’s hospital, in AM New York, TimeOut New York, Gothamist, and as an Atlantic photo of the week.
